About DeadBeat
DeadBeat is a six-piece Grateful Dead tribute hailing from the MetroWest part of Massachusetts. It consists of seasoned musicians each with three plus decades of experience and with national and international gigging and recording credentials. They have a groovin’ dance vibe with a rock edge and feature strong three-part vocal harmony and instrumental soloists. They perform the original music of the Grateful Dead and its family of bands, as well as music as covered by those groups.
About rice-an American Band
rice – an American Band formed over the last five years from a collection of Pioneer Valley musicians and friends. In that time they have performed at area clubs and festivals including Jerry Jam, Wormtown, Harry’s Hill, StrangeCreek and more. The band plays originals written by Phil Simon over the last 25 years and more recently have begun to write songs together. Added to their set are covers both known and mysterious from bands ranging from Warren Zevon to Cage the Elephant and more. Featuring the vocals of Simon, bassist Lauryn Winiarski, and multi-instrumentalist Steve Benson, plus contributions from every member of the band, rice is striving to produce an evocative and original show, with flair and drive. “We hope that in any show the audience can come away with a good idea of the strengths and unique talents of each band member.”
