Erin Harpe and the Delta Swingers to release
(anti-)Christmas album, THE CHRISTMAS SWING,
on vinyl—celebrate with show at the Stone Church Dec 13th
As the holidays approach, with the dreaded barrage of Christmas music, Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers offer an alternative with their latest holiday release – “The Christmas Swing.” The totally “un-traditional” holiday album is “a treat for blues fans who like Christmas music, as well as those who don’t usually care for it.” (Blues Bytes) The critically acclaimed album was first released last year on CD/streaming/digital. This year sees the album getting “bigger” (12”) with a special, limited edition release of the album on Vinyl LP, on the Vizztone Label!
The band, New England Music Awards’ “2019 Blues Artists of the Year,” celebrate with a Vinyl Release Holiday Party on Friday, December 13th at the The Stone Church! Expect a spectacular evening of yuletide fun, boogie, and blues. The brand new Christmas Swing Vinyl LP’s will be available for purchase at the merch table. Don’t miss this night of “red-hot music that will make your holidays even more fun!” (Aj Wachtel)

“The Christmas Swing” is Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers’ self-produced, critically-acclaimed (anti-) Christmas album. This season on VizzTone/Juicy Juju Records, the album will be released on limited edition vinyl! The album, which has been called “sassy” and “un-traditional”, made it to #2 last season (Eric Clapton was #5!) on the Roots Music Report’s Top 50 Holiday Album Charts, AND #17 on the Living Blues Charts last December! Featuring ten songs – including a couple of Erin’s originals and her own arrangements of traditionals and songs by Chuck Berry, Bessie Smith, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Leadbelly, and more – the album is a great alternative seasonal romp, chock full of hooky blues-guitar-fueled gems that you’ll want to listen to each year as the holidays approach – in fact Steve Jones of Blues Blast Magazine says, “I will be giving it many more spins this holiday season and beyond.”
