Nostalgia Personified

Nostalgia Personified is an interactive live show born from The Adventures of Danny and Mike podcast with Danny Tamberelli (“GTA V,” “All That,” “Figure it Out”) and Michael C. Maronna (“Home Alone,” “Slackers”), TV brothers from Nickelodeon’s The Adventures of Pete and Pete. Also touring with Lori Beth Denberg (“All That,” “Good Burger”) and the aforementioned Tamberelli, the hosts create a live, hour-long experience confronting their past in the most humorous way possible– trading jabs and old videos clips! Through audio and visual segments and live stage competitions wrangled by co-host and podcast producer Jeremy Balon, Nostalgia Personified is a humorous look back at the nineties through the eyes of two child stars.

The Adventures of Pete & Pete is an American comedy television series created by Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi for Nickelodeon. It centers around two brothers, both named Pete Wrigley, and their humorous and surreal adventures in suburbia among their equally eccentric friends, enemies, and neighbors.

The Adventures of Pete & Pete began on Nickelodeon in 1989 as minute-long shorts that aired as interstitials. Owing to the popularity of the shorts, five half-hour specials were made, followed by a regular half-hour series that ran for three seasons from 1993 to 1996. Reruns of the shorts and the shows now run on TeenNick as part of their block NickSplat on October 5, 2015. Jason Ankeny of AllMusic called the series “the greatest children’s show ever,” while IGN called it “one of the most well-written kids shows ever.”

Danny & Michael remain close friends even after the show ended. They now co-host a podcast together called, “The Adventures of Danny and Mike.”
