FEBRUARY 2019
SSB Header

Wow: I guess it truly is winter now for most of the country. Stay warm people. The temperatures may be cold, but the jams are hot hot hot! We are tour planning for all of 2019 right now, and you'd be amazed at what bands are booking 6 months out in advance or more, and that we have bands from every corner of the country to every other corner of the country.

Fareed HaqueWe are very pleased to announce the return to the roster the best world guitarist there is, Fareed Haque. We are currently routing dates from Colorado to the West Coast for the month of May and putting together dates around the globe. Haque has an uncanny ability to play nearly anything, and we can book his current band, Flat Earth, which is a fusion of Indian classical with American jam and funk - or his classical guitar duo with Goran Ivanovic, or any number of ethnic or jazz ensembles possibly including legendary B3 master Tony Monaco, jam funk fusion band the Funk Brothers, classical, educational and more.

We also continue to take routing gigs for legendary reggae band, Third World, (seeking April 21 Easter Sunday and more). They will have a new album out in 2019 and continue to tour the world.

Our pair of Colorado bands are kicking some serious tail already - Thunder and Rain, the viral bluegrass sensation, already have festival dates in ID, CO, AZ, MN, OH, and beyond, and we're routing them nearly everywhere in the country. Their last video has nearly 6 million views and has blazed a new trail of fan interest everywhere.

DPO DeadPhish Orchestra is brand new to the roster, and we've already easily booked twenty five dates for them from coast to coast. The band has already signed to multiple major festivals, and their unparalleled jams and style make them ready for clubs, concert series, and festival dates.

The Skatalites continue their legendary 55-year run with shows in the northeast, and we seek additional options for March 15 - April 15 to go with shows in Baltimore, Stanhope, and offers in Trenton and beyond. May 30-June 1 includes Michigan and Chicago already, and we are seeking out festivals and special event options for June, August, and September. The band has been in Jamaica recording a new album with some major legends of reggae and ska, and that should be out by the end of the year.

Max Creek are celebrating 48t years as New England's favorite band. We have some great anniversary shows planned this spring, and we're setting down festival plays for this upcoming season. Heavy marketing and promotion has resulted in a nice little bump in attendance and awareness at shows.

Erin Harpe and the Delta Swingers are celebrating the band's holiday release which climbed toward the top of the holiday blues charts. Erin's recent appearance in TN for the International Blues Challenge tore the house down. We're currently planning stops all over the US for them, including Texas, Illinois, New England, and beyond.

Freekbass is reveling in the release of his new single on Color Red Records, Fre3KroNomoKon. He is continuing to do shows with his dynamic funk quartet, and also doing shows with special guest, Sammi Garett from Turkuaz, for an amazing performance.

Swift Technique is already setting down many festival and concert series dates and are in the studio creating their next album.

Englishtown Project The Englishtown Project now have dozens of shows under their belts, and fans of New Riders of the Purple Sage and the Zen Tricksters are flocking to this band who pay tribute to the Englishtown Raceway concert from 1977. The material includes favorites from the Marshall Tucker Band, New Riders, and the Grateful Dead done by a group of musicians with two centuries of touring experience. It literally can not be done better than they are doing it.

We are happy to be working with indie rock duo Muddy Ruckus who are touring from coast to coast and are easy to use. Black Masala takes their Ethnofunk sound from Washington DC to anywhere that wants their heady mix of funk and world influences.

Lovewhip is back and are taking gigs mostly in New England.

Dave Keller has a great new video and is now touring from coast to coast on the strength of his release with Cat Food Records. He is sometimes available with New England blues legend, James Montgomery.

We have a slew of reggae bands available including the Alchemystics, who are coming out of their musical cocoon with new material and a new lineup. The Equalites are available for New England area dates.

Taj Weekes and Adowa, from St Lucia, continues to amaze audiences with his world music take on reggae and Caribbean sounds.
