April 2018
As winter turns to spring, our thoughts turn from ski areas and nightclubs to concert series and festival appearances. We are so happy to be working with you all for so many years. We have bands out on tour all over the country, and we so look forward to working with you to bring the highest quality touring acts to your region.

Jocelyn & Chris ArndtWe have so many new artists with whom we are working, and we could not be more pleased. Jocelyn & Chris Arndt (full band) spent 6 weeks on the Billboard AAA top 40 list, are writing and producing a new record, have huge appearances at Strangecreek Campout and Mountain Jam upcoming, and we are setting down tour dates from coast to coast. The national tour is this August and regional northeastern tour dates are in constant motion.

We are so proud to be working with legendary reggae band, Third World. We are seeking a northeast date for May 17th, and then we are routing dates all over for the rest of the year. We are proud to be presenting them at the legendary-in-its-own-right Peach Festival in July, and would love to speak with you about your dates.

Swift Technique is an infectious horn band out of Philadelphia and, in a short period of time working with them, we've already accumulated some fifty confirmed dates. The band is already frequenting routes from the mid-Atlantic to New England, the Southeast, and the Midwest. Get on board and get funky.

The Skatalites are legends in their own right with a legitimate claim to the originators of ska and reggae music. We've got dates in the northeast throughout the spring, and we're routing dates for national touring for summer and fall.

John Kadlecik is busy performing with his own band, on solo Acousti'Lectric dates, with Everyone Orchestra, and the all-star outfit, Golden Gate Wingmen. We're currently routing some solo dates for Oregon in the second half of May, full band dates in the latter half of June in the mid-Atlantic, and routing from Ohio to PA at the end of July into August.

EHDSErin Harpe and the Delta Swingers are celebrating their release and enjoying an amazing amount of publicity stemming from their second album on VizzTone records. We have plenty of avails in the Northeast, spring into summer, and then touring out to the Midwest for dates in the Chicago area in late August.

Freekbass is putting the finishing touches on his new record, and we have him touring nearly everywhere with his dynamic and funky trio which includes members of Bootsy and PFunk touring units. His new double neck bass manufactured by Stonefield Instrument Company is a site to behold and is taking its spot in the van - you gotta see this instrument and this band.

The mighty Max Creek are readying their spring time celebration of their 47th anniversary. The most legendary band in the region and the genre still have some room this summer for festival and event opportunities before we turn our attention to the fall schedule.

Flux Capacitor are taking some time to welcome a brand new baby Fluxer to the world and will resume their assault on the map and the calendar any second now. Already confirmed for Peach festival, Strangecreek, Nelson Ledges in Ohio, and more - the band is the perfect festival and club band. Their show improves with every confirmed date, and the telepathic power of this trio of brothers is something to behold.

Black MasalaBlack Masala are nabbing concert series and festival dates from their Washington, DC home base and are bringing their distinctive EthnoFunk to enthusiastic audiences. We've got them booked all over from New England to the mid-Atlantic to the Southeast to the Midwest. We're very pleased to be working with Town Meeting out of New England whose vibrant and dynamic take on modern folk is impressive. We've got them on Strangecreek Campout, at UNH Solarfest, and will be soon conquering the world with them.

The Alchemystics are having their best year ever with touring down to the Southeast and appearances already scheduled in SC, NC, NY, CT, ME, RI, MA, VT, and beyond.

We have so much more to talk to you about including up and coming New England regional outfit rice - an American Band, St Lucian reggae and world warrior Taj Weekes, funky dance band Lovewhip, the nation's #1 Talking Heads tribute band, Start Making Sense, their new originals trio Ruby Dear, and so much more.

In the News, Lee Scratch Perry, Strangecreek Battle of the Bands, The Big Takeover Spring Tour, The Music Box to play the East Coast, and more! So many new reviews, including Judas Priest, Saxon and Black Star Riders, Rock n Roll Resort, Medicinal Purpose, and Steve Winwood for starters! Festivals previewed include Duppy Conquerors playing Harvard and Skull and Roses.

We're seeking out new writers all the time, so please hit us at with your ideas. Traffic has radically increased lately, and we have been able to garner press passes for some contributors to get to shows they never thought possible. Consider the glory!

Getting your music to stand out from the crowd takes a strong band brand, strategic planning and consistent execution. The Simon Says Publicity Department offers bands and musicians wrap-around marketing and publicity services that not only make the job of marketing your music easier, we make it more effective. We continue to offer bands traditional publicity services, most recently with clients like Jocelyn & Chris Arndt, Kwame Binea, the Big Takeover, and Rev Tor's "Last Waltz Live." We’ve also expanded to provide day-to-day band marketing implementation services, currently working with Swift Technique, the Skatalites, Max Creek, the Alchemystics, Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers, Lovewhip, and Woody & the Rebel Alliance. The Simon Says Publicity Department is also available for comprehensive Band Branding and Marketing Plan projects. Most recently, we finished a project with Heart-Centered Kirtan, Fire in the Field, and crossover tribute Steal Your Peach Band, fusing together the music of the Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers Band.

Be sure to hit up Kelly, our publicity maven, to find out how we can help you reach the next level!
