We have reached those dog days of summer, and I can't say we are disappointed- this year, Simon Says has had bands on every great festival in the country from coast to coast, and we could not be more pleased than we are to work with you.

Start Making Sense is firing on all cylinders and have become recognized as the greatest Talking Heads tribute band in the country. Their attendance numbers are truly incredible, and we're so pleased. We are seeking just a few dates left this year, including NOV 11 in New England, NOV 25 in the NY / PA / western New England range, and DEC 28 in the mid Atlantic or western New England. Then that will be it until 2018, though there may be room in Colorado in early OCT and/or the midwest for a router on Thr SEPT 28.

HAVE NO FEAR: Band from Mars is here! From the minds of Start Making Sense and their friends, Band from Mars is an amazing David Bowie tribute. We have a few dates for them this fall including OCT 26, Nov 18, DEC 16, and those should likely be in PA or southern NY state, or NJ, CT, DE, MD areas. And finally, from the SMS world, the Insidious Rays are back, and we have them cruising around. We are seeking a date for SEPT 8, Fri for them to route toward Burlington, VT. Anywhere between Philly and and Burlington will do nicely, c'mon and get it.

Freekbass is celebrating the cover of UK Bass magazine by funking it up all over. We're considering a tour to Colorado and the west for the end of October. Otherwise, frequent trips to the northeast and southeast make him accessible for many of you. Get down, get funky, get yourself a Freekbass date.

John Kadlecik and his many bands are always on the road. In September, we are seeking SEPT 17 -27 in the midwest for the John Kadlecik band, which likely will include Jay Lane on drums, Benjy Poreckie on keys, and Joe Gallant on bass - seeking out options anywhere in the heart of the country. OCT 1-10 we can consider a quick play in select spots in Oregon (the coast, Bend, Ashland, etc). OCT 13-21, John would like to go out to the heartland again, but this time with his solo Acousti'Lectric show. College towns are our target, but we likely will have him visit everywhere. Fellowship of the Wing will be hitting Arizona in very late JAN, so we may be able to seek out options in NM, UT, CO, or CA to go with it - this all-star outfit is ever changing and is John's newest brainchild.

The Skatalites
, what can we say about the most legendary band in the long history of ska and reggae? They continue to tour and release new music, and are about to hit the road in the northeast for 5 days. Then in SEP and OCT, we have a major coast to coast tour. We are mostly booked, but we could look at Atlanta or Memphis for SEPT 25, could look at a lead in date SEPT en route to MI (Ohio, Buffalo / western NY I'm looking at you...) and we'll be filling in some dates in the southwest to end the tour in OCT after Vegas and Phoenix - we are seeking OCT 18-21 range.

Roots of Creation are seeking AUG 31 in the Carolinas, and SEPT 2 in GA or SC while out on tour. We'll be finishing up our work for them here shortly, so if we have been talking about an RoC date, let's get it finished up, shall we?

Flux Capacitor are electrifying audiences all over these days. There is still plenty of room for dates in 2017, and starting in 2018, we will be doing dates every other month as they concentrate on writing and recording. This will result in more concise tours and the band's ability to promote hard on a cluster of shows. 1.21 Jiggawatts of untamed power, coming from the brothers Specht and blowing your mind.

Our best wishes go out to Erin Harpe and the Delta Swingers and Lovewhip as their intrepid bassist, Jim Countryman, recovers from abdominal surgery. Some of you will be getting a phone call from us about postponing shows, but we are happy to report that Jim is recovering from this unexpected medical emergency, and the road will be his home again sometime soon.

Black Masala
is getting ready to go back in the studio this fall after a summer of concert series and festival dates. We're currently seeking SEPT 16 Sat after their Wormtown appearance in the northeast. There are plenty of fall dates, including NYE, for us to discuss. The band is breaking - they just finished their first tour of the midwest, and are eager to come and meet new fans.

We're seeking out new writers all the time, so please hit us at lmnandr at gmail dot com with your ideas. Traffic has radically increased lately, and we have been able to garner press passes for some contributors to get to shows they never thought possible. Consider the glory!

Meet our latest publicity maven, Kelly Drew. Kelly is working hard with clients in all aspects of publicity and marketing.

Getting your music to stand out from the crowd takes a strong band brand, strategic planning and consistent execution. The Simon Says Publicity Department offers bands and musicians wrap-around marketing and publicity services that not only make the job of marketing your music easier, we make it more effective. We continue to offer bands traditional publicity services, most recently with clients like Steal Your Peach, Roots of Creation and Rev Tor's "Last Waltz Live." We’ve also expanded to provide day-to-day band marketing implementation services, currently working with the Skatalites, Max Creek, the Alchemystics, Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers, Lovewhip, and Rebel Alliance. The Simon Says Publicity Department is also available for comprehensive Band Branding and Marketing Plan projects. Most recently, we finished a project with the PA-based freak funk band, Dr Slothclaw, Kirtan, Fire in the Field, and are currently working with crossover tribute Steal Your Peach Band, fusing together the music of the Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers Band.

Be sure to hit up Kelly to find out how we can help you reach the next level!

Bella's Bartok are constantly on tour. They, too, are likely recording this fall, and plans are under way for some amazing shows. The circus is coming to your town, and you know you want to peek inside the freak show tent that is Bella's Bartok.

Taj Weekes and Adowa have completed the first leg of their national tour, and had so many great things to say about meeting up with fans and their show experiences. We'll be planning out fall here soon, but in the meantime, they are all over New England and out to Montana these next couple of weeks. Some quick routers are available still, and we are ready to bring St Lucia's most beloved son to your town.
