Well, November is here and we have so much to be thankful for - we're thankful to be working with you to bring amazing live music to your region; we're thankful for an amazing group of musicians with whom we get to work each and every day; and we're thankful for a live music scene that supports independent and creative musicians from coast to coast. Happy Holidays from everyone at Simon Says Booking to you and yours.

Arndt SSBFirst: We would like to announce our signing. Jocelyn & Chris Arndt is a full and amazing band out of Boston who are currently burning up the radio charts. Devastatingly powerful vocals and retro-rock guitar, with lyrics that run the gamut from vulnerable to all-out venomous: siblings Jocelyn & Chris Arndt are creating a new generation of authentic album rock. Jocelyn & Chris perform at venues and festivals coast to coast, backed by a killer band and non-stop, full-throttle stage presence. They create live shows that are unforgettable. Their recordings feature industry veterans including G. Love, Gov't Mule's Danny Louis, Beau Sasser (Kung Fu,) Alvin Moody (Whitney Houston and Gavin Degraw), and numerous others. We can't wait to present them to you for your upcoming events.

Next: Congratulations to Erin Harpe and the Delta Swingers on the release of their brand new album on VizzTone Records: Big Road. This award winning band has played from coast to coast and even flown over the pond to tour Europe. Their accessible honest sound has gotten the attention of the blues community world wide, and their appearances at festivals from Texas to Ohio to New England and beyond is showing the world that they are here to stay. The band is available for New Year's Eve still and have plenty of avails throughout the remainder of 2017 and into 2018.

Bella's Bartok spent much of October in the Vermont studio creating their new album. It's going to be quite a process for them, but now that November is here, they are back to hitting the road. We can't wait to hear what one of the most creative bands ever is going to spring on us. Change Your Life was an amazing album that brought Bella's Bartok to the masses, and the next album will surely propel them even further.

Black MasalaBlack Masala are also in the midst of writing and recording their own new record. This funky outfit from Washington DC stepped up their game in 2017 by touring outside of their region for the most extensive trips they've taken. They are now becoming regular visitors to New England and the Carolinas, and have toured out to the Midwest for the first time last June. We already have people who are booking them for festivals and concert series for next season, and we'd love to bring them to you.

John Kadlecik just completed his first ever trip to the 49th state, Alaska, with his solo Acousti'Lectric show. He immediately went to the nation's 50th state in Hawaii for his third trip there, and now is out on tour with Oteil and Friends. Upcoming shows with Everyone Orchestra, John Kadlecik Band (currently featuring Jay Lane, Benjie Porecki or Todd Stoops, and the legendary Robin Sylvester of Ratdog on bass) and upcoming plans for Fellowship of the Wing and even a Golden Gate Wingmen show on the books. January is our next target with solo shows and upcoming tour plans in every inch of this great nation.

Freekbass is busy at work in the studio composing the funkiest songs that will be released in 2018 by anybody. He is working with Itaal Shur, Grammy award winning co-author of Smooth by Santana who has also worked with Maxwell and was a member of Groove Collective. We have avails including DEC 30 we are seeking in Florida to go with 29 and 31 in Stuart and Dunedin. We've got April 6 booked in PA, and are seeking other options to go along, and we have plenty of tour dates for 2018 all over the map.

Treehouse! are on tour constantly, and will be releasing numerous videos and a new album in winter and spring of 2018. The band has some immediate avails in November while they are in Florida, and are booking dates throughout the southeast from now through early Spring, and then heading out on national tour to the West coast and beyond starting in May. We are so excited to be working with this great band who are new to our roster and have an amazing progressive reggae rock sound.

FluxFlux Capacitor
is doing great things and capitalizing on years of club and festival plays. They said it best themselves, "The longer we are on road the more we evolve and push ourselves forward, out and away from the limits of our minds by living for the music and honing our endurance everyday." We have a few dates left in December, and then we're booking major runs in February (including 3 dates with Broccoli Samurai) in New England, the Mid Atlantic and beyond and a run in April that we hope will cover the southeast and perhaps Colorado. Check out this fun video they produced.
LMNR Logo In the News, Arlo Guthrie is interviewed, Gord Downie passes away, and Pink Talking Fish Starts Making Sense. New reviews are in for Paul Kelly at The Roxy and Two Nights of Yes.

We're seeking out new writers all the time, so please hit us at lmnandr@gmail.com with your ideas. Traffic has radically increased lately, and we have been able to garner press passes for some contributors to get to shows they never thought possible. Consider the glory!

We continue to offer bands traditional publicity services, most recently with clients like Steal Your Peach, Roots of Creation and Rev Tor's "Last Waltz Live." We’ve also expanded to provide day-to-day band marketing implementation services, currently working with the Skatalites, Max Creek, the Alchemystics, Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers, Lovewhip, and Rebel Alliance. The Simon Says Publicity Department is also available for comprehensive Band Branding and Marketing Plan projects. Most recently, we finished a project with the PA-based freak funk band, Dr Slothclaw, Kirtan, Fire in the Field, and are currently working with crossover tribute Steal Your Peach Band, fusing together the music of the Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers Band.

TRIBUTE BANDS APLENTY! Box of Rain is doing really well with well attended markets and shows in PA, DC, MD and NJ. Deadbeat has New England on lock down and has some avails to end 2017 and into winter and spring of 18. Bob Marley tribute band, Duppy Conquerors, is spreading their wings and bringing Nesta's message to folks all over the northeast. The Last Waltz Live is recreating one of the most significant concerts and concert films in history, and we have an innovative plan that involves musicians from your region to help populate the cast and the audience. And we have more options for you, too including tributes to the Allman Brothers, a Dead / Allmans mashup, and tributes to David Bowie and more.

Max Creek continues their historic run as the most beloved band in New England, having played before millions of fans, one show at a time for over 46 years. There is a great run of shows that will close out 2017, and plans are underway for shows in winter and spring. A celebration of the band's 47th anniversary will take place in April with shows in the northeast. The first weekend of February may provide some opportunity to book the band in New England. Festival season is already upon us, and we'll be looking to book this band at the best festivals around the country.

Start Making Sense has become the #1 Talking Heads tribute band in the country because, in a few words, they are awesome. Taking this tribute to the highest level possible, the band is now selling out amazing venues. Their recent sale of 1100 tickets in Denver, selling out rooms in Albany, New York, Portland Maine, Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago has placed them as a band to watch and a band to pack venues. We're seeking out options for festivals and concert series, and we're already planning shows for March and beyond in Colorado, Chicago, New York and everywhere - it's time to route them right now if you want the band in 2018.
