The warm breezes of summer are giving way to the cool breezes of autumn, the leaves are turning and the bands are burning up the road miles. Festival season is not quite over, but ski season is just around the corner. Thank you all so much for working with our bands all over this great land, we could not do it without you.

TreeHouse pic

First things first! We are so proud to announce that we have signed Treehouse! from South Carolina. The band is ready to tour coast to coast and we could not be happier to be bringing them to you.

Black Masala picBlack Masala signed with Simon Says Booking around one year ago and in that time, toured to the Midwest for the first time, hit festivals in New England for the first time (Strangecreek and Wormtown), and expanded their touring radius considerably. They are getting into the studio this Fall and should have a new release in 2018. We're currently booking December avails for them and considering a run to the southeast for early December. January is wide open.

The Skatalites are in the midst of their most extensive national tour of the US in years, and will be finishing up a West coast run mid October. They are still available for NYE, but we are mostly concentrating on major festival booking for 2018 and perhaps a Spring run of the US.

Start Making Sense is virtually done for 2017 (long available date is November 18th for the Mid Atlantic) and is already well on their way to getting things busy in Spring 2018. Additionally, they are launching a new free form jam project called Talkless Heads that will see the band doing instrumental versions of the songs, letting go of the trapeze and experimenting with the grooves and sounds of this amazing material. They will be ready for you for dates in 2018, but expect an experience that is altogether different from the faithful and true Start Making Sense performances you've seen of late.

Max Creek is completely booked for 2017 and the front half of 2018 is already getting pretty busy. Plans are under way for Creekiversary shows, so if you wanna get on board for anything in JAN or April, let us know now! Festival booking for 2018 should get going quickly.

HarpeCongratulations to Jim Countryman of Erin Harpe and the Delta Swingers. After a significant health set back and months of rest and healing, he is returning to the road. The band is about to release their second full length album on Vizztone Records and reports that packages are going to radio next week to nearly 1000 radio stations world wide in multiple genres. After a great summer playing festivals, concert series and club dates they are very excited to return to the road. Lots of dates avail (we were cautious on booking until Jim's health returned) for OCT - January including NYE.

The Alchemystics have some dates available in December and then into 2018. They are booked for New Year's eve but have plenty of available dates for December holiday shows in New England.

Flux Capacitor has an amazingly busy schedule and is departing on an extensive east coast run here momentarily that will take them from New England straight down to the South. Starting in 2018 the band will be playing every other month (FEB, APR, JUNE, etc..) aside from festival appearances any time. They will be consolidating their performances into more concentrated touring, and providing artwork for every run. This will allow them to expand their touring schedules while also spending time with their growing families. Get ready to Flux it up people!

Freekbass is touring every inch of this funky world, bring you the bass one show at a time. Already booked for NYE in Florida there is still plenty of time for those in the southeast to jump on board more shows end of December en route to central Florida. Additionally we have a March run toward WI, Midwestern tour dates throughout the winter and periodic hits to the East and West are likely for 2018.
LMNR Logo In the News, RIP to Husker Du's Grant Hart and Steely Dan's Walter Becker. John Kadlecik at River Street Jazz Cafe and Roger Waters at T-Mobile Arena are reviewed. The Band Spotlight is Fire in the Field soon to release a new album. Dan Rainone is the Artist Review Opening for Stick Men.

We're seeking out new writers all the time, so please hit us at lmnandr@gmail.com with your ideas. Traffic has radically increased lately, and we have been able to garner press passes for some contributors to get to shows they never thought possible. Consider the glory!

PUBLICITY DEPARTMENT
Meet our latest publicity maven, Kelly Drew. Kelly is working hard with clients in all aspects of publicity and marketing.

Getting your music to stand out from the crowd takes a strong band brand, strategic planning and consistent execution. The Simon Says Publicity Department offers bands and musicians wrap-around marketing and publicity services that not only make the job of marketing your music easier, we make it more effective. We continue to offer bands traditional publicity services, most recently with clients like Steal Your Peach, Roots of Creation and Rev Tor's "Last Waltz Live." We’ve also expanded to provide day-to-day band marketing implementation services, currently working with the Skatalites, Max Creek, the Alchemystics, Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers, Lovewhip, and Rebel Alliance. The Simon Says Publicity Department is also available for comprehensive Band Branding and Marketing Plan projects. Most recently, we finished a project with the PA-based freak funk band, Dr Slothclaw, Kirtan, Fire in the Field, and are currently working with crossover tribute Steal Your Peach Band, fusing together the music of the Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers Band.

Be sure to hit up Kelly to find out how we can help you reach the next level! kelly@simonsaysbooking.com

Bella's Bartok's
upcoming tour dates is staggering. They are hitting everywhere. Tours are under way to the Midwest, the South and beyond.

Taj WeekesTaj Weekes and Adowa have a few select dates that they can do throughout the Fall (New Year's Eve is available still for instance) and we'll be planning 2018 festival season and national tour before you know it. Additionally speaking Taj Weekes is traveling back and forth to St Lucia to aid in hurricane relief and reconstruction. We're hoping to do some Unicef relief shows, so if you are a club, festival or organization we would like to connect you for possible benefit shows.

TRIBUTE BANDS APLENTY! Box of Rain is doing really well with well attended markets and shows in PA, DC, MD and NJ. Deadbeat has New England on lock down and has some avails to end 2017 and into winter and spring of 18. Bob Marley tribute band, Duppy Conquerors, is spreading their wings and bringing Nesta's message to folks all over the northeast. The Last Waltz Live is recreating one of the most significant concerts and concert films in history, and we have an innovative plan that involves musicians from your region to help populate the cast and the audience. And we have more options for you, too including tributes to the Allman Brothers, a Dead / Allmans mashup, and tributes to David Bowie and more.
