Summer's here, and the time is right...

Hey all: Thank you so much for working with us as we are looking forward to an amazing festival season 2017. Last weekend alone our bands played over 15 festival slots from coast to coast.

Roots of Creation is in the midst of a major national tour that had them at California Roots and dates in markets and regions they had not been to in a long while. The coming months will see them at Camp Bisco, Surrounded by the Sound, Wild Woods, Jerry Jam and more. We're currently booking northeast dates for June - August, end of August and early September in NY state, Ohio and the Southeast, and back in the northeast for September and beyond. We're looking to get them back out to Colorado and revisit many of these tour spots that they just hit throughout 2017 and 18.

John Kadlecik is continuing his incessant touring all over the globe, both in his solo Acousti-Lectric format and with the John Kadlecik Band (currently featuring Jay Lane on drums, Joe Gallant on bass, and Benjie Porecki on keys). We are seeking out solo show options for Oklahoma, Arkansas, western KY and TN, even NM and TX for June 15-20 range; and then again from July 12 in the Pacific NW (Portland OR on July 11th is confirmed) heading east. Full band tour is mid to late July and is done.

Start Making Sense is absolutely crushing everywhere. They just completed a very successful run to Colorado where they did over 1000 paid in Denver and are blowing up markets including Fort Collins and Boulder. There may be an open weekend in August 17-20; and we are fully booking Fall now with avails everywhere. Jon Braun has his fingers in other projects as well including the resurrection of punky cult favorites Insidious Rays. We could look at that same AUG time frame for the Rays, and we're seeking lower New England or eastern NY options for 9/8 as they are headed to Burlington VT on 9/9. The Rays were on the rise at the same time as Ween and has that same rocking and wry personality. They just made their Strangecreek debut and fans are ecstatic that the Rays are back. And let's not forget the David Bowie tribute, Band from Mars who are ready to roll and will be making their Philadelphia debut at the Ardmore this summer.

Legendary ska and reggae band, The Skatalites, are hitting the road and bringing us all back to the very roots of those genres. We have great runs already confirmed in June and August, and booking for a major national tour is underway for SEP - OCT. Confirmed dates already include WI, MO, TX and beyond and we are seeking dates all over: SEP 13-15 in the upper midwest heading toward Madison WI confirmed date on 9/16; seeking MN, IA, NE, IL and the northern center of the US for 9/17-9/20 leading up to dates in KC and St Louis, MO. From there we are seeking out options in NOLA and TX heading up to confirmed dates in Austin and Dallas SEP 29, 30 and OCT 1. Colorado could be next first full week of OCT, and then for sure California and beyond OCT 10-17. More dates and plans could be added if there are folks ready for the most historic ska and reggae band ever.

Everyone here at Simon Says would like to wish a safe journey to Ras John Bullock, Pioneer Valley reggae elder and member of the Alchemystics. He passed away about a month ago and we all celebrate his life while the Alchemystics continue to provide the best reggae, soul and hip hop. The Alchemystics just rocked Strangecreek, and have a great summer planned with shows from PA to New Hampshire.

Flux Capacitor are killing the festival scene this summer, but still have plenty of avails. Bless the Woods, Domefest, Nelson Ledges in Ohio, Mountain Sky, and many others are already all signed, but we have plenty of room as summer leads to fall. The band is touring regularly to the southeast, and we are seeking out options in the Carolinas and Georgia OCT 10-15. Northeast opportunities abound from July and beyond.

Erin Harpe and the Delta Swingers are on national tour this summer. From New England to Texas, and Chicago and beyond, Erin is swinging her amazing delta blues from coast to coast. Last minute avail June 24 SAT in eastern New England, July 21 in central KY or TN, AUG 13-15 routing from Chicago back East, AUG 25/26 in the East and beyond. Lovewhip, electro funk dance floor gurus are avail for any of those dates if that is more appropriate (same band members, two highly different bands.)

Freekbass just crushed it at Summercamp, and has dates all over the East. Avails abound while dates are being confirmed in New England, the Mid Atlantic and the Southeast. After a successful and quick run to Colorado mid May this tight funk trio would love to return West before the snow flies. A new website is about to pop, and new music is being written. Rico Smoove on drums and Razor Sharp Johnson on keys flesh out this funky outfit, with both guys having done veteran funk time in PFunk and Bootsy touring bands.

We're seeking out new writers all the time, so please hit us at lmnandr at gmail dot com with your ideas. Traffic has radically increased lately, and we have been able to garner press passes for some contributors to get to shows they never thought possible. Consider the glory!

Taj Weekes and Adowa from St Lucia are on major national tour July and August. Seeking out options including June 25 in western PA through June 29th confirmed in Colorado- TN, KY, MO, NE, KS off nights considered for 6/25-28. July 2 is needed in western CO or Utah, July 3, 6 are needed in NoCal, July 7 or 9 needed in Utah to go with Snowbird concert series play. We're considering July 10-16 in SoCal. July 21 is confirmed in Missouri and July 23 is confirmed in Wisconsin and July 27 is confirmed in southern IL and we're seeking out options in those areas to compliment those shows. August 1-13 is in the northeast with concert series and festivals confirmed in NH, RI, MA and more. AUG 25 and 26 are confirmed in Montana.

Bella's Bartok are crushing it wherever they go with a major set of shows that just crushed Strangecreek. Highlights of this summer include Soupstock in June, a Boston boat cruise in August, and another trip to Chicagoland and the upper midwest in early September.

Max Creek are mostly done this summer, and are currently formulating plans for Fall. A new live album is in the works, their 46th Creekiversary at Telefunken studios in CT was legendary and the summer is filled with festival and concert series appearances.

rice -an American Band is in the midst of finishing up their first live demo and video. They just appeared at their third Strangecreek, are getting ready for Jerry Jam in July, and have acoustic trio and quartet gigs booked for June. New England festival, concert series and club appearances are avail throughout the summer and fall. Want a sneak peak of the new live singles coming out here shortly?
